Maktuno Suit is a psychotherapist and business consultant who has spent the last two decades navigating the frontiers of human extremes. He studied sociology at the London School of Economics and then trained at the University of Kent to be a psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
Born in London to a Ugandan father and an English mother, Maktuno's unique upbringing has shaped his worldview and approach to psychotherapy, offering him a distinct perspective that sets him apart in his field. His professional journey began in inner-city London, where he worked to address gang-related knife crime through public policy and community programmes whilst working for innovative justice think tank Revolving Doors and award-winning men’s charity Working With Men. He went on to work for the Ministry of Justice in high-risk institutions, specialising in developing innovative treatments for personality disordered prisoners.
Maktuno then transitioned into the corporate world, where he worked as an executive coach and transformation consultant with c-suite leaders. He currently works for the world’s leading advertising agency WPP as Global People Director for their technology division, alongside Non-Exec Director roles and running a private psychotherapist practice. He lives in East London with his wife and young son.
